S&P 500 Trading Pits - May 6, 2010 - 2:45pm

The market plunge on Thursday May 6th - was not due to a trader's 'fat finger' - it was due to massive sell orders with no bids. No bids = no value. This is why the value of the stock of a few companies dropped to less than a dollar.
